Not Sure If Your Deck Can Be Saved?
Grey doesn't mean dead. If the boards are sound and the framing checks out, a re-deck or a proper stain rescue costs a fraction of a rebuild. If it can't be saved, we'll show you exactly why — the ledger, the joist tops, the post bases — and price the rebuild honestly. Either way the site visit and quote are free.

Deck Questions
How much does a new deck cost in Muskoka?
It depends on size, material and site — a small pressure-treated deck and a large multi-level composite build are very different numbers. We price every deck individually after a site visit, and you get a written quote with the scope and timeline before anything starts. Quotes are free.
Can my old deck be re-decked instead of replaced?
Often, yes. If the framing is sound — joists, ledger, posts and footings — new boards over the existing structure costs far less than a full rebuild. We check the framing first and tell you honestly which route your deck is on.
Composite or wood — which is better for a cottage deck?
Composite costs more up front and asks almost nothing of you afterward — no staining, no popped screws. Wood costs less and needs staining every couple of years. For cottages that sit empty much of the year, composite's low upkeep usually wins; we'll price both so you can compare.
Do I need a permit for a deck in Huntsville?
It depends on the deck's size, height and whether it attaches to the house. On the site visit we'll tell you whether yours needs a permit, and we build to the Ontario Building Code either way.
How long does a deck build take?
Most re-decks take a few days and most new builds one to two weeks once materials are on site. You get the timeline in writing with your quote, and photo updates while we work.
